Harriet Cordner

Club: Richmond

Playing Honours:

A relatively late comer to AFLW, even though the game ran through her DNA with a rich family history associated to Melbourne FC, Harriet excelled at Soccer as a junior before turning her attention to Football in her mid 20’s. The granddaughter to the late Don Cordner, who was the 1946 Brownlow Medalist as well as being named in the clubs Team of the Century, Harriet worked extremely hard on her fitness in order to adapt to the rigors of her new found love.

Predominantly playing in defense, Harriet has the ability to nullify her opponent and work off them to become an attacking rebound defender. Selected by Melbourne as a Category B Rookie in 2016, Harriet has continued to fine tune her game over the first few years of AFLW. At the end of the 2020 Season, Harriet was presented with an opportunity to join Richmond which she accepted as she looks to further grow and develop her game.
