Jarrod is an excitement machine that combines his devastating pace, with silky skills and endurance. Selected by the Gold Coast at pick 15 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft from the South Fremantle FC, Jarrod made his senior WAFL debut late in the 2014 season and immediately made an impact with his defensive pressure and goal kicking prowess.

Playing 9 games in his debut year for the Gold Coast, after overcoming an ankle reconstruction in the middle part of the season, Jarrod really enjoyed his first year of AFL footy. However after an injury interrupted pre-season, Jarrod had a slow start to the 2016 season before finishing the season off strongly, however he had a burning desire to return to Western Australia resulting in Jarrod walking away from the AFL and returning to the WAFL in 2017.

After good form for South Fremantle in the WAFL, Jarrod was taken by Carlton in the 2017 Draft and given a chance to resurrect his AFL dream. Making his debut in the season opener against Richmond, Jarrod easily slotted back into the pace of AFL to play 11 games for the year before succumbing to a shoulder injury he had carried since the pre-season.
