Born on the Gold Coast, Lauren attended Palm Beach Currumbin High School before moving to Melbourne to continue her University studies in Teaching. During her time in Melbourne, Lauren played VFLW for Melbourne Uni and Essendon where she honed her skills before being selected as a Priority Signing for the Gold Coast ahead of there inaugural AFLW season in 2020.

Playing a dominant role in defense for the Suns, Lauren was pivotal in shutting down key opponents and rebounding the team off the half back flank. In what was a very good first season by the team, Lauren would have been thrilled by her input, coming Runner Up in the Clubs Best & Fairest Award.

At the conclusion of the 2020 season, Lauren signed with the Suns for a further two seasons.
