A key pillar in Collingwood's defence for over 8 seasons, Nathan has experienced a combination of high's and low's throughout his AFL career. From winning the 2010 Premiership when playing an integral role on St Kilda champion, Nick Riewoldt, to the many serious knee and shoulder injuries, Nathan's has shown tremendous resilience.

At the end of the 2016 season, Nathan made the tough decision to leave Collingwood and join St Kilda as a Restricted Free Agent which was ironic given the role he played in stopping St Kilda breaking there Premiership drought in 2010. Having loved his time at Collingwood and making many lifetime friendships, Nathan looked forward to making a start at St Kilda which he did in terrific style. Playing every game for the year, Nathan was critical in the Saints defensive line up working in tandem with Jake Carlisle. In 2018 the duo further established their synergy and were the back bone of the team.

Away from football Nathan has shown an interest in completing studies in Building and Construction which he would like to work in post career.
