Having for a long time been on the radar of all the AFLW Clubs after a number of exceptional years at the Murray Bushrangers, Rebecca is an ideal talent for AFLW with her ability to bounce of half back, but also run through the midfield using her power.

After the conclusion of the TAC Cup season, Rebecca played for Melbourne University in the VFLW after a successful Under 18 National Carnival. Having selected all of Victoria on her Draft nomination form, Rebecca met with all of the Victorian AFLW clubs who were all eager for her to join their club. However as things progressed during the Draft, it became evident that the Cats wouldn’t let her slip through their third selection at Pick 12.

Rebecca was thrilled to be selected by the Cats and quickly made an impression in her debut season off half back. Suffering a lower leg injury during the course of the season, Bec was rushed back in to the team for clubs first final against Adelaide. Whilst it was a disappointing result for Bec and the team, there was a huge amount of experience and learning gained from it. This propelled her into a strong Winter which saw her win the teams Best & Fairest which she then used as momentum into the 2020 AFLW season, cementing her spot in the teams midfield which is arguably the best young midfield of the competition.
